Great Safari Experience We had a great time on our 4 day Safari, visiting the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorogoro crater. Our tour guide Edouard was absolutely amazing. He found us all the animals we could ever ask for and was like an animal encyclopaedia. Also, our private chef Mohamed was absolutely brilliant! He cooked us the best meals every day and was such a nice happy man. The only downside was that the company seemed to not remember that we booked when we checked everything was in order the night before. As a result, we didn’t have our original first night’s campsite. Apart from that, it was perfect!

Pleasant experience We chose the 4 day safari, it was the perfect length that gave a vast range of locations. Our Safari got off to a slightly rocky start. Due to some confusion, when we rang Mack the evening before the safari it seemed he had almost forgotten about our trip, as we had to remind him of the arrangements. As a result we had Solomon as our guide for the day and the location we were promised to be staying in was changed without us knowing. It turned out we were staying in a relatively new hotel/camp ground. This was apparently arranged because some of the other clients had all their belongings stolen the night before, we questioned the plausibility. However we had a pleasant night, just were disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to use the pool at the original campsite. The experience picked up on the second day. Edouard was our replacement guide, he was absolutely exceptional, very engaging and knowledgeable. We would recommend you ask for him if you choose this company. Furthermore Mohammad was our cook, he was very out going and helpful; whilst providing some amazing food for us 3 meals a day and always made sure we were well fed. The rest of the campsites were pleasant and Edouard’s deep knowledge of animals was very useful and he was very enthusiastic. He seemed to know the best places to sight the animals and this really improved on the first day’a Safari If you want a bargain safari, with a good guide and don’t mind camping this is perfect for you.

Great Experience with Kiliholidays We had an amazing safari experience in Tanzania with Kiliholidays! We did a 4-day safari that included the Serengeti, Tarangire, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide, Edward, was exceptional. He was an excellent driver who navigated the rough terrain with ease and always made sure we were safe. He also had a great eye for spotting animals and knew the best places to find them, which made our safari experience even more exciting. He was always friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our trip. We ended up having some flights change, which resulted in us needing to move around which days we were in which national parks. Edward and team were very reasonable in working with us and suggesting a revised plan, even though we were already mid-way through the trip. Overall, we had an unforgettable trip, and I would highly recommend Kiliholidays Tours and Edward as a guide to anyone looking for an amazing safari experience in Tanzania.

AMAZING 5 DAY WITH SAFARI WITH THE BEST GUIDE If you are thinking of booking with Kiliholidays…. DO IT!!! We have just got back from a 5 day safari in Tanzania with Kiliholidays. This involved visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Every single aspect of our safari ran flawlessly. We met the owner of Kiliholidays, Mack, on our first day in Tanzania as he came to visit us in our hotel. He was extremely friendly and patient with answering all of our questions. He let us know exactly what the plan for our safari would be and we found him to be genuinely concerned for making sure our safari was amazing as possible. The actual safari in itself was incredible. We saw so many animals- more than we ever thought possible. We had no issues with transportation (a lot of people in the parks do breakdown so be wary of companies that report this a lot). Each day we had breakfast, lunch and dinner provide us for this so we never went hungry or even had to worry about food. And we stayed in some INCREDIBLE places. The company arranged all of our hotels but they were all amazing. A particular highlight was Embalakai Camp which is in the middle of the Serengeti and we awoke to hundreds of baboons outside our lodge. But the best bit about our safari was our guide, John. John is one of the most friendly, kind people I have ever met. From the get go he made us feel so comfortable and it was clear that he was really there to ensure that we had the best time possible. John had an incredible knowledge about all of the animals in the national parks and was able to answer any questions we had. He was extremely committed to making sure we saw as much as possible and was just as excited as we were when we spotted leopards or elephants. But above all else, he was an amazing person to be around for the week. We spent so much time with him that it feels as though he became a part of our family and he even played UNO with us every night. I am 100% sure that anyone who has a safari with John will have an amazing time. We are so grateful to Kiliholidays for giving us a perfect holiday and safari in Tanzania.

Very reliable and helpful Mack from Kiliholidays is very helpful and responsive which was great. We were picked up at the airport by Eduard – our driver and guide. I have read some positive references about Eduard before we booked the tour and they were correct. Eduard is a nice guy, very helpful, very well oriented and he did all he could to get us best views and experiences. He also seems to know a lot about the parks and life in Tanzania. Do not be shy and ask questions, he will be happy to talk, otherwise he will let you enjoy the tour in silence – whatever you wish 🙂 I can definitely recommend Kiliholidays!

Perfect guides, poor ownership/communication we were extremely unhappy with how things went with Maki (the owner of the tours) who also planned the tour with us. we clearly stated that we wanted to do the safari with another couple (4 people in total), however ended up in a car with 6 people and did not get informed in advance. It all seemed like a way of „saving money of another driver“. Of course we arranged ourselves but due to the big amount of luggage and due to the fact that the other group was camping and we stayed in lodgias we had to move every night after the safari to their camp site, unload everything and then drive to our lodgias. We lost a lot of hours like this and there was a few lodgias we were not able to propperly see/enjoy because we arrived so late when it was already dark. We openly talked to Maki about the issue and said it was agreed to be 4 people in the car not 6. We kindly asked for a new price calculation. He promised to give us 50$ back each. Of course we never received the money, even asking for it multiple times! Even the day we arrived, the first thing was go to the local bank and get all the money in cash – where you also have to pay a fee of min 70$ just to retrieve the money. This was very frustrating but Maki only cared about the money, took it and left afterwards. Our guide Edward on the other hand was lovely, we would 100% recommend him again and do the tour with him. He had a lot of knowledge and found the best spots to see animals. He was so kind and even organized visits to local markets where he offered food for us and introduced us to locals. It was a lovely experience and he really made our safari trip 10 times better.

Mak the owner of the company is very profit-oriented and doesn’t keep his promises to the clients We had booked 6 days safari in October with Kiliholidays and booked directly via Mak (the owner of the company). When we started the tour, the route has changed as originally planned and we were 6 instead of 4 people (what was booked and agreed on) in the car without informing or asking us. We directly called Mak and asked him about the change as we had lot of luggage and being 4 or 6 in the car is just not the same experience. It is clearly about saving costs and not having another driver. The other 4 people booked a camping safari which meant staying in different locations in the parks which took lot of time in off-loading/dropping them and then went to our lodges. This happened in the morning and evening and lot of time got lost for us especially as we couldnt enjoy our lodges as much as possible due to the shortened time. We have asked Mak to give us refund as cleary travelling with 6 people is not the what we booked and caused us inconveniences. He promised us to give us back USD 100 which is already very little compared to what we paid and that planes had changed. However, he did never transfer the money after requesting several times and didn’t respond anymore to our WhatsApp messages. From our arrival in Arusha when we met Mak we directly got the impression that all is about the money, as this is the first question he asked when we arrived and not about giving the best experience to the customers. All of this made our safari less joyful as it could have been. On the other hand, our guide Edward was great and very helpful, we saw many animals, the landscapes and lodges were beautiful.

Great experience We had a wonderful trip with Kiliholidays. We chose a 4 day safari for our Honeymoon and we enjoyed really much. Justin was our driver, he explained realy well and was really flexible and always here to help. Mack, who organized the trip really took care of us. The only point to get better I would say was the organization of the sleeping while we were in the safari. We had another group in our car that was not slepeing in the same place and sometimes the 2 camps were a bit far one to another. But besides that, I really recommend it!!

Great Guide I did a 4-day camping safari with Kiliholidays and it was great! As you evaluate providers, I would suggest you focus on reviews that specifically mention the guide, because a good guide is key to a positive experience. Other details – car, food, lodging – tend to be similar across providers. The guide drives, follows the schedule, chats with others to find animal sightings, knows the facts and anecdotes about the places and things you’ll see, and brings a certain cohesion to a group of strangers who are traveling with you. Edward did all of that expertly and it made a difference. I also appreciated Mack’s great customer service before my arrival – I felt taken care of throughout. Stay at the Venice Hotel pre-departure – it’s a good value. I highly recommend this entire experience!

The guide, Edward, is very experienced, he knows very well all the things you need to know in order to fully enjoy your stay on the Safari. Daniel, the cook, has prepared different and delicious food every day that we couldn’t stop eating. Delicious food in the best places. We have laughed and spent the best days thanks to the two of them, always ready to help you and have a good time by our side. We will always remember this trip with love and much happiness.
